Honey Banana Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
2-3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup melted butter
1/2 cup honey (you can add a little more if you prefer a sweeter bread)
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Optional: 1/2 cup walnuts or chocolate chips for added texture and flavor
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Mix Melted Butter and Bananas: In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter, mixing well.
Add Honey: Stir in the honey and ensure it's well combined with the banana and butter mixture.
Mix in Egg and Vanilla: Add the beaten egg and vanilla extract to the bowl, stirring to incorporate.
Add Dry Ingredients: Sprinkle the baking soda and a pinch of salt over the banana mixture. Then, gently stir in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Add Optional Ingredients: If you're using walnuts or chocolate chips, fold them into the batter.
Pour and Bake: Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick or knife inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
Cool: Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the loaf pan for a few minutes. Afterward, transfer the banana bread to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve: Slice the cooled banana bread and serve. You can also drizzle a bit more honey on top if desired.
Enjoy your Honey Banana Bread with a cup of tea or coffee!
